AC/DC, commonly referred to as the pioneers of heavy metal, have a huge fan base in all different corners of the world. They were put on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which shows the contribution that they made to the music industry and honors them. With hundreds of songs and over 15 albums, AC/DC has a wide range of music with varying sounds and moods.
AC/DC spent 2008 - 2011 touring the entire world in their Black Ice Tour. They did this tour to promote their 15th album, Black Ice, and this long three year journey across the globe really did mark their dedication and their fame. They visited North America, Central America, South America, Oceania, and Asia, playing 160 different shows to 4.9 million people in a time span of three years. Three years away from home to make their fans happy.
AC/DC is now wondering how they can beat that tour. They want to do even better one when their next album comes out and try to set the bar even higher for themselves as performers.
Even after decades of performing and creating the music, AC/DC is still dedicated to pleasing its fans, going around the world to visit them, and to offer chances for people to enjoy their music live. They will hopefully make an even bigger wave when they begin their post-Black Ice Tour.
