For those of you who were not aware of the situation, it was World Water Day on Saturday and some of the stars were making sure that they did their bit to spread the word about the important occasion. With the amount of people that are dying every day from not having access to clean water, it is the least that people can do to take one day to out of their lives to recognise the problem.
Among the celebrities who tried to make sure that people were aware of World Water Day, was Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel, who made sure that her fans and followers knew the importance of the day. Candice took to her official Instagram account to post a picture of two children trying to get some water.
Along with the picture, Swanepoel added the caption, "Today is world water day. Almost a billion people in the world don't have access to clean water and sanitation, take a moment to think about how much water you waste on a daily basis..... water is everything, water is life #worldwaterday make a conscious effort not to be wasteful. #realthirst."
Candice Swanepoel was not the only star to take time out of their day to help to promote World Water Day, as other stars including Adele, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears, among many others, all took to their official Instagram accounts to post pictures and captions to help make people aware of the day.
Remember, do not take things such as clean water for granted and be grateful for every clean drop.
