With the fact that David S. Goyer is back to write the script, Zack Snyder is returning to direct and Henry Cavill is reprising his role as Clark Kent aka Superman, it is easy to see why the new Batman/Superman movie is still being called a Man of Steel sequel. Yet the presence of Bruce Wayne aka Batman in the movie makes it so much more than that.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is linked to Batman role
Since it was announced that Batman would be involved in the film, there have been a number of top Hollywood names linked to the role. Warner Bros. and DC are supposedly looking to cast an older Bruce Wayne and the latest name to get linked to the role is Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Jeffrey worked with Zack Snyder on the movie Watchmen and recent reports have claimed that he is having meetings with Zack Snyder about taking on the role of Batman. Morgan is in his late 40s now, so he could be perfect to play the aging Bruce Wayne.

Henry Cavill is back as Superman
Some people have suggested that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is not a big enough name for the role of Batman but, saying that, Henry Cavill was hardly a Hollywood superstar when he was cast as Superman. Right now though, there are too many names flying around and, until an official announcement is made, it is all just rumour.
