There was once a time when Rachel Hunter was considered one of the most beautiful women on the face of the Earth, enjoying a long and successful modelling career, working with some of the biggest names in the business. While it is fair to say that the 46-year-old star has aged well, it seems that the trolls who have criticised the way she looks almost pushed her towards going under the knife and getting plastic surgery.

Fortunately, Rachel started working on her new show Rachel Hunter's Tour of Beauty, which made her change her mind, "In real life I was fairly happy with myself. (But) in photos I was horrified. People were like, 'Why don't you get rid of those deep lines' (around her mouth)? I was very much considering plastic surgery, and then I had an amazing opportunity to go on this journey, which really changed my view on the whole idea of it," Hunter explained.
She added, "That moment of beauty when a woman actually feels beautiful - it's the synchronicity between internal and external that have to have this amazing harmony moment. After going on this journey and seeing other cultures, away went that superficial idea of beauty. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing someone smile. I think the ideas of beauty are old and need to be shattered and there is individuality and the importance of being joyful and happy and connected, and self-acceptance is extremely important of the wellbeing of women and men.

Those people who choose to criticise the way celebrities look really need to question their life and work on their own issues before making others feel bad about the way they look. We are glad that Rachel Hunter managed to see the light before making the mistake of going under the knife. Rachel Hunter's Tour of Beauty is set to air on the US network Ovation later in the month.
