With the recent release of the movie Furious 7, there has been a lot of talk about what the future will hold for the Fast and Furious franchise, with many suggesting that it could be the last film in the franchise. The death of Paul Walker back in November 2013 has made Furious 7 difficult for the cast and crew and it is hard to see most of them agreeing to return for another movie without their good friend Paul.

The franchise is bigger than ever
If the stars of the Fast and Furious films did decide to turn their back on the movie franchise, what would that mean for Fast and Furious? Surely Universal would not just say farewell to the Fast and Furious franchise, as it has been a very big money maker for them over the past few years and is more popular now than it has ever been in the past, with Furious 7 already grossing $252m in the US and $492m worldwide.
With the amount of movie reboots that we have seen over the past few years, we would not be surprised if Universal decided to reboot the Fast and Furious movie franchise, recasting the roles of our favourite characters from the films. They could even do what they have done in the past and just continue on but taking the story somewhere else with all new characters, with some of the stars making small cameo appearances.

Will a reboot happen?
It has not yet been confirmed whether we will see the stars of the Fast and Furious films signing up for another movie but, whatever Universal do decide to do with the Fast and Furious franchise in the future, we have no doubt that it will continue to be hugely successful.
What do you think will happen with the Fast and Furious franchise?
