Superstar Jennifer Lopez is preparing to say goodbye to American Idol for good, as she also prepares to say hello to Las Vegas with her residency next year. Jennifer will be performing in 20, two-hour shows between January and June next year and she has admitted that she cannot wait to get started.

Lopez explained to People magazine, "It's just the idea of creating the show that I've always wanted to create. You know, touring is an animal, and to get to be in one place and really build a show exactly how I've always imagined - I feel like I've been waiting for this moment my whole life. I'm very excited about it."
While the die hard and loyal Jennifer Lopez fans will no doubt be just as eager to see her performing in Las Vegas, as she is to be there, it seems that the not so big fans of the star will also be entertained by her shows. Jennifer has claimed that she is aiming to put on a show that will have a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy.

Lopez added, "It's going to be everything I think the fans have come to know me for on stage. I'll have dance. I'll have Latin. I'll have pop. I'll have hip-hop. I'll have all of it. It will be a high-energy amazing show that anybody could go see - my fans and everyone else."
While we are looking forward to seeing Jennifer Lopez doing her Las Vegas residency, we have to admit that we are likely to shed a tear when we say farewell to American Idol for good.
